Hope everyone in NZ is enjoying their National Holiday even if it only means a day off work for you 🙂
My stats have absolutely boomed yesterday and today so a huge thank you to anyone who came and had a quick squiz through the post I did on Facebook. I suppose a pic of such a beautiful waterfall and lil ol me in a bikini may have been a little bit of clickbait for some of you but nonetheless thank you!
After the last couple of action packed days, today was much slower paced.
Paul dropped Justin back at the bus station so he could go home to Taumarunui but I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of him soon.
Paul and I spent the morning in the garden. There’s been a huge water restriction in place these last few days because a major supply pipe broke so we haven’t been able to get out and water the garden like we usually would. Well let me tell you, that has not stopped the weeds from growing one bit. So today we tried to tear out all the weeds and find our wee plants amongst them. We were mostly successful – just not with the capsicums. I’m not 100% sure what the capsicum seedlings are supposed to look like when they come through and so it’s a bit hard to tell what’s weeds and what isn’t so we kinda just.. left that row alone hahaha another days mission….
Saint Pierre’s sushi for lunch was just what I needed – I usually go for the Teriyaki chicken on rice or Inari but today I got the Cheriyaki Chicken and it was yum! Cheriyaki chicken is like normal chicken sushi but its got cream cheese and sweet chilli in it too! What’s your favourite sushi?
Then we headed to the Warehouse so I could buy a skipping rope for my gym session today and to buy something else that we definitely needed in today’s 28 degree heat (but I’ll tell you more about that soon!)
The gym killed me (as per usual). Into Week 2 of Kayla Itsine’s BBG workouts and completed the legs & cardio resistance set today. Burpees, lunges, skipping, squats haha this better be worth it #bootygains
When we got home we set up our new purchase…. an outdoor pool! And because it was so hot we just had to have a couple of sneaky beverages in there too.
We also had a visit from our friendly neighbourhood kitty again who seems to be making herself more comfortable around us and seriously makes me want to name it and then get my own kitten.
- Stats went boom
- Weeded the garden

- Bought a skipping rope
- Gymmed and died
